Joaquin Phoenix, 39, spotted with 19-year-old girlfriend

Joaquin Phoenix has 20 years of knowledge to share with his teenage girlfriend.

The 39-year-old actor is reportedly dating DJ Allie Teilz, 19, as the duo was recently spotted on a cozy day out together in Rome, reports Britain’s Daily Mail.

Walking with their arms wrapped around each other, the couple looked comfortable being close despite onlookers.

The skinny on Teilz is that she’s an Arizona native who’s reportedly been spinning at parties from New York to Los Angeles since she was 16. In fact, in order for the underage DJ to get into the gigs, she lied about how old she really was.

“I had a complete double life and lied about my age, obviously,” she said in a previous interview with Bullett magazine. “But I was really getting involved in the music world and starting to meet people.”

One person she apparently met along her journey was the “Gladiator” star, and while there’s no telling whether she fibbed about her birth date to him or not, they clearly seem to have found a common ground. Their bond could stem from Phoenix’s start in Hollywood as a child star before he took a break from the big screen after his brother River Phoenix’s untimely death from a drug overdose in 1993.

He returned to acting about a year later and is now currently in the Italian capital promoting his latest film, “Her.” During his down time, he reportedly spent time in San Pietro and at Gianicolo hill with Teilz and James Gray, the director of “The Immigrant,” another movie Phoenix appears in.

While the “Walk the Line” actor’s love life isn’t usually a hot topic, he has been previously linked to model Heather Christie and, before that, actress Liv Tyler, who was his lady for the duration of the ’90s, around the time Teilz was born.
