Lohan is ‘doing everything Oprah tells her to do,’ sources say. The embattled actress’s new mentor reportedly advised her not to travel to Europe after her time in rehab.
Lindsay Lohan might have been on her way to Europe after completing rehab – but apparently changed her mind about a cross-Atlantic getaway at the advice of a very powerful media maven.
“I just came from Europe, and Europe is the place to go when you want to feel really good and relax,” Winfrey, 59, in an interview with “Good Morning America” on Tuesday. “It’s hard to go to Capri and not have a Bellini.”

In efforts to keep her new mentor Oprah Winfrey happy, the 27-year-old embattled actress canceled her trip to focus on her sobriety and upcoming OWN reality series, according to an US Weekly magazine source.
“She is doing everything Oprah tells her to do,” the source said.

No doubt the “Liz & Dick” star wants to keep the talk queen happy. Winfrey has made it her personal mission to get Lohan back on track.
“I believe that she believes that she is now ready,” Winfrey said on “GMA.”

“And she admitted that there were other times when she was pretending to be ready and not quite sure… sometimes resentful that she was being, you know, put in a position where she had to go to rehab. I think this is the first time I could see it really benefited her.”
In the teaser video for their first sit down, Winfrey appears to hold nothing back in grilling Lohan with questions about her substance abuse.

“What does it feel like to be both an adjective and a verb for child-star-gone-wrong?” Winfrey probes.
Though Lohan doesn’t say a word in response, the “Next Chapter” episode does promise an in-depth conversation with the former child star.
“She really wants to get back to living a normal life and not being around negative people,” the US Weekly source said of Lohan.
