The Bordeaux waterfront was the site of the tragic drowning of a young student. Now his mother is suing a pair because they didn’t help him.
The mother of a French student who drowned while drunk is suing a couple who did nothing to help him.
Nineteen-year-old Vincent Zecca died in 2102 after a boozy night in Bordeaux. He drowned accidentally after falling into the river, the Local cites AFP as reporting.

Now, his former police officer mother has said she will take legal action against a young couple because they broke a French law which requires people to provide assistance to anyone in danger.
Sylvie Zecca said she had been given access to a police file which revealed that the couple had found her “very drunk, near comatose” son earlier on the fateful night and “instead of helping him, laughed at him, filmed him with a smartphone and let him leave”.

She added she was “not looking for punishment, just that they be made to face their responsibilities”.
The family originally claimed their son had been murdered, but this was ruled out, reported The Local.
