A Kuwaiti woman filed for divorce saying she was disgusted at the sight of her groom using bread to scoop up his peas instead of a fork.
A Kuwaiti newlywed filed for divorce after getting angry at the way her husband eats his peas.
The bride, married for just one week, reportedly tried to ditch her spouse after seeing him using bread rather than a fork to scoop up the vegetables.
Gulf News reports she was “disgusted” at the “shocking sight.”
She also accused him of “failing to abide by table manners and proper eating etiquette” and said it meant she could not stay with him for the rest of her life.
Citing Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Qabas, Gulf News states it is just one of several bizarre reasons given for divorce in the last year.
Another woman wanted out from her marriage after the supposed love-of-her-life insisted on squeezing toothpaste tubes in the middle and not the end.
And a man demanded a split after his wife refused to bring him a glass of water. She argued they had a domestic helper to carry out the chore.
