Australian Feliks Zemdegs solved a Rubik Cube in just 7.36 seconds. during the World Rubik’s Cube Championship in Las Vegas.
This fleet-fingered teen can solve a Rubik’s Cube puzzle faster than you can make a first impression.
Staggering footage shows Feliks Zemdegs, 17, completing the notoriously complex challenge in an incredible 7.36 seconds.
The Herculean effort came as he beat more than 500 other competitors for the top spot at the World Championships in Las Vegas’ Riviera Hotel and Casino this week.

The 17-year-old (center, in orange) took home a $ 3,000 prize and other goodies for solving the puzzle in such a short time.

The Australian scooped $ 3,000 in prize money and a host of Cube prizes, as he recorded the fastest average time of 8.18 seconds for solving the classic 3-inch-by-3-inch block.
But he still has some way to go if he wants to hold the world record.

Though 7.36 seconds is fast, the world record is held by a Dutchman who figured out the puzzle in 5.55 seconds.
It’s currently held by Dutchman Mats Valk, who managed a mesmerizing 5.55 seconds, reports the Daily Star.

“The secret to speed-cubing is no different than the secret to chess — or to cooking,” said Tyson Mao, co-founder of the World Cube Association.
“It takes some innate talent to be one of the world’s best, but with time and dedication, I do believe that anyone can solve the Rubik’s Cube in under 30 seconds,” he added.
