New York City tastes like beer, butterscotch and brownies, according to Ben & Jerry’s, which just created a new flavor inspired by the city. The ice cream maker used tweets, votes from fans, and even the schedules of subway trains to help concoct unique flavors for five U.S. cities as a part of its City Churned project . The Big Apple’s flavor does not include any apples, but it does boast locally made ingredients like beer from Six Point Brewery and caramel corn from Liddabit Sweets. There are no current plans to sell the flavor by the pint, but New Yorkers can sample free scoops at Pier 57 from 5-7 p.m. on Friday.
