Silverman’s popping up in a big way

Pregnant Lauren Silverman is ready to pop, but it’s her ex-husband, Andrew, who has burst onto the scene as Super Dad.

As Confidenti@l exclusively reported in September, Simon Cowell’s baby mom is to deliver the music mogul’s first son next month. However, sources close to Silverman’s personal ex-factor tell us they’ve been pleasantly surprised by what a great single dad Andrew has become to his and Lauren’s nearly 8-year-old son, Adam.

“He’s really stepped it up,” says a friend of the Silvermans. “He really is a hands-on parent. He makes breakfast, takes Adam to dinner, took him on vacation to the Caribbean [over the holidays]. He takes him and his friends to ballgames … We’re seeing a different side of him now.”

There’s never been any doubt about Andrew’s ability to multi-task. The 37-year-old tycoon has a solid reputation as a career-minded businessman who made millions in real estate development and is also an exec at Silver Entertainment Gaming and Hospitality. He’s teamed with his dad, Allen, for nearly 30 years at the Andalex Group (combining the names of Andrew and his brother, Alexander).

Sources close to Andrew and Lauren say the divorce, which drew an avalanche of public scrutiny before a settlement was quickly reached in August, was easier for Andrew because he never had to leave his home, the $ 6 million Upper East Side apartment where he was raised. He kept the property while Lauren moved to a nearby place of her own.

An insider tells us that even though Andrew and Lauren agreed to joint custody, Super Dad Silverman has been a sport about caring for Adam when Lauren needs time away with Cowell. The couple are now vacationing in St. Barth’s.

Meanwhile, Andrew and Adam just returned from the Ritz-Carlton in Aruba, where they enjoyed father, son and sun time.

Another source close to the Silvermans agrees that Andrew has expanded his patriarchal role from bread-winner to Mister Mom without missing a beat.

“Yes, he’s spending a lot of time with his son, but he always has,” the source tells Confidenti@l, acknowledging that while Andrew has always worked long hours, he carves out important family time, too.

The insider reports that Andrew and Adam make room for “boys’ night” dinners. Our second Silverman source says that “he and his son have always had a great relationship and it’s only gotten better.”

SPITZ HOT-TUB RUMORS ALL WET, SAY PALS

Eliot Spitzer has made some bad decisions, but friends of the former Luv Guv tell Confidenti@l that new stories making the rounds about him and girlfriend Lis Smith (below) are outrageous and wrong.

After returning from a five-day vacation in Jamaica on Sunday, Spitzer and former Bill de Blasio aide Smith came home to multiple calls from right-wing reporters who’d supposedly heard the pair were engaged in improper activity at a hotel hot tub where families were present. Anti-Spitzer antagonist Roger Stone even tweeted, “@Lis_Smith hot tub?”

“The couple both understand the scrutiny they’re under,” says a friend of the pair. “That’s why they’re even more careful about their behavior. It makes [the rumor] even more ridiculous.”

Our insider even says that while we might see photos of Spitzer and Smith “parasailing, biking around and tasting the local fare,” any hot-tub photos that may emerge will be PG-rated.

“It was a family resort,” marvels the pal. “There’s no way that would’ve been allowed.”

Say what you will about Spitzer, he’s always gone to great lengths — and expense — to be discreet.

IT’S GEM DANDY

Just call it her diamond digit. Newly married “Big Bang Theory” star Kaley Cuoco spent one of her first days as a wife alongside husband Ryan Sweeting at an NBA game between the L.A. Lakers and the Utah Jazz on Friday. Cuoco, 28, flashed her enormous ring and a sparkly manicured ring finger to match. Cuoco and Sweeting were married on New Year’s Eve.

With a new TV campaign for Weight Watchers and her first magazine cover since the birth of her son in June, Jessica Simpson seems to be taking a break from childbearing to get back in shape. Showing off her waistline on the February cover of Redbook, the 33-year-old dishes on the harsh criticism about her weight: “It’s ridiculous and unfair,” Simpson says in the mag. “I think any woman who is pregnant and creating a life is pretty much entitled to eat whatever she wants as long as she’s healthy.”

CHINA’S NEW PARTY MEMBER: LILO

Although Lindsay Lohan didn’t ring in 2014 by headlining any club shindigs or partying in far-flung locales, she’s not taking a break from the scene. Lohan flew to Shanghai on Sunday, posting a selfie from her flight with the caption, “When I wake up I’ll be in Shanghai.” The redhead then posed on the red carpet in a short black dress on Monday for the Sohu Fashion Achievement Awards.

SUPER PREGAME LINEUP

This party is on fire. Confidenti@l can exclusively reveal the lineup for Time Warner Cable Studios’ pre-Super Bowl series, taking place at a 45,000-square-foot pop-up at 440 W. 14th St. The four-day event starts Jan. 29 with a celebrity chef-hosted Food Network tailgate party. Things really get cooking Jan. 30 with a concert by Kings of Leon. On Jan. 31, Aspire’s Ultimate ’70s party will be hosted by Earvin “Magic” Johnson. Things wrap up Feb. 1 with the Revolt concert, including performances by Drake and Sean “Diddy” Combs.

JASON & OLIVIA IN A SHOCKER!

Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde took in a couple shows and a bit of history over the weekend. The pair were first spotted at Broadway’s Roundabout Theatre taking in “Machinal,” about murderer Ruth Snyder. Interestingly, a 1928 photo of Snyder in the electric chair that appeared then on the cover of the Daily News was taken by Sudeikis’ great grandfather, who’d snuck a camera into Sing Sing strapped to his ankle. Sudeikis and Wilde also were seen taking in Off Broadway’s “Buyer & Cellar” at the Barrow Street Theatre.

RING-DING FOR ROBERTS & PETERS

They do! Emma Roberts and her “American Horror Story” co-star Evan Peters (l.) are engaged, according to Extra. Apparently they’ve regrouped since last July, when Roberts was taken into custody after reportedly roughing up her future hubby. Peters is said to have popped the question in New York over the holidays. No word on who the wedding photographer will be, but their shutterbug pal Tyler Shields, who’s taken shots of both, was quick to congratulate them on Twitter Monday.

DISICK’S GRIEF

Less than three months after losing his mother Bonnie, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” co-star Scott Disick has lost his father, Jeffrey. The Radar site was the first to report Jeffrey’s passing; the cause of death has not been announced. While the Disicks had a home in Long Island, where Scott was raised, Jeffrey reportedly passed away in Los Angeles shortly before last weekend. Bonnie and Jeff appeared on a Kardashian spinoff show in 2011, when Kourtney Kardashian and Scott took their son, Mason, to visit his grandparents on Long Island. Kourtney and Scott were spotted in Manhattan Monday.

Steve Coogan is clearly enjoying his turn as a serious actor. At an afternoon tea to celebrate his latest film, “Philomena,” the funnyman was asked when he’d return to comedy. “I’m going to be very serious and portentous for the next five or six years,” he joked at an afternoon tea Monday for the film at St. Regis. When pressed about the religious content of the controversial film, he remarked, “I’m an atheist, but I’m not looking to win that argument.”
