Miley Cyrus took to Twitter Thursday to dismiss rumors of insulting comments she supposedly said about Beyonce.
Miley Cyrus was quick to dismiss she ever had ill words about Beyonce amid rumors she’s drummed up the first feud of the New Year.
“That quote people MADE UP about Beyonce just made me lol!” the 21-year-old pop star tweeted Thursday.
The quote in question supposedly comes from her March 2014 cover story in Love magazine in which Cyrus describes the birth of Beyonce’s 2-year-old daughter Blue Ivy as a career downfall.
“As Beyonce grows in motherhood and all the crap it does to your body, it will create a vacuum for fresh young faces to rise up and no one else can properly fill that void right now,” the “We Can’t Stop” singer reportedly said, Us Weekly reported via Britain’s Daily Mail.
“I got the total package, you know, the curves, the rhythm, and the voice,” she supposedly boasted. “I’m just the best.”
“Imagine if I said I got ‘the looks and the curves I’m just better!’ Bahahahahaha,” she tweeted Jan. 2. “How are people allowed to make up s–t & then out quotes around it saying I said that s–t! WTF!!?!”
But Cyrus doesn’t intend to just brush this off as a cruel joke.
“Don’t worry. Getting 2 the bottom of this s–t,” she wrote. “Making the liar retract the statement. U can cause ALOT of drama but NOT between me & B!”
Only time will tell what words did or did not come out of the “Wrecking Ball” singer’s mouth as several reports indicate she did in fact spout off some pretty hard criticisms about Bey’s rightful place in music and her impending takeover.
“Beyonce has been a big inspiration for me, but she’s been out for such a long time,” Cyrus reportedly said. “(She’s been) out of the game for too long. I’m the only white female singer that could fill that slot right now and do it right.”

According to the speculations, the former Disney star went on to add, “She’s so talented, and I think she’s at the top of the game now, but people are always looking for new blood and that’s what I bring to the game now, new blood.”
In looking back at both Cyrus and Beyonce’s careers in 2013, there really seems to be no detractors for the “Grown Woman” singer’s unwavering success.
Not only did she complete a sold out Mrs. Carter World Tour and performed in a highly viewed Super Bowl halftime performance, Beyonce ended the year the release of her surprise self-titled album, which has remained on the top of charts since its release Dec. 13.
While Cyrus has also remained in the headlines, it hasn’t been solely off her career successes like her 2013 album release “BANGERZ,” but more for her outlandish behavior and unfiltered remarks.
“I just feel like I was born for this time right now,” the comments Cyrus claims to have not said included. “All things must start and end, and I hope to have the same success as other icons in the game when my run is over. But for now, my run is just starting.”
