An X-ray shows the surgical scissors that had been left inside the woman’s womb.
A new mom who was in pain weeks after giving birth has discovered the surgeon left a pair of surgical pliers in her womb.
The pliers had been inside her body for more than six weeks before being discovered.
The unnamed mother gave birth by Caesarian section on Nov. 5, according to The Local.

She returned to her home in Normandy in northern France after the happy event, but was subsequently in a lot of a pain.

Rouen University Hospital, where the Caesarian birth took place and where, afterward, a pair of surgical scissors was left inside a woman’s womb.
She went to her doctor who recommended she return to hospital.
There, doctors carried out a scan and found the source if her pain — and their missing instruments.

“It’s not normal,” she said, according to The Local. “The doctor apologized. He did not have much of an explanation for what happened. He took responsibility.”

The new parents are considering legal action.
