Miley Cyrus lifts up her top to ‘free the nipples’ while waiting to catch a flight Saturday. The stunt was to promote the film, ‘Free the Nipples,’ about the banning of female nudity vs. violence.
Miley Cyrus has freed her nipples and wants the whole world to know about it.
The 21-year-old pop star tweeted a photo Saturday flashing her breasts at the camera with her signature tongue sticking out. Her bare breasts were censored by two red hearts that read “Merry Christmas.” She also had an animated Santa hat on with a Christmas wreath, stocking, and Snowman surrounding her.

“Merry Christmas,” she wrote. “THANK YOU NY for being one of the few states to @freethenipple.”
Instead of Cyrus aimlessly attempting to shock the public as she often does, this time she was bared it all in support of a cause. The indie documentary film “Free the Nipple” raises the debate around the U.S. media’s censorship of female nudity and openness of graphic violence.

“It’s not about getting your titties out,” Cyrus tweeted. “It’s about equality.”
The pop star’s support of the Lina Esco directed film may actually help the documentary to get more of a buzz as it’s reportedly been a challenge to get American theaters to release it.
