Antrel Rolle has six interceptions and a forced fumble but is just a second alternate for the Pro Bowl.
Giants safety Antrel Rolle must have really been counting on the free trip to Hawaii for the Pro Bowl.
The NFL announced its Pro Bowl selections Friday night, and Rolle was voted a second alternate at strong safety. The always outspoken Rolle, who picked off six passes and forced a fumble this season, took to Twitter to vent his frustration at not being selected to the team outright.
“Tell me which safety has better numbers and made more game changing plays than me this year???? I’ll wait!!!!” Rolle wrote. “This probowl sh– is a joke.”
No other Giant was named to the team or as an alternate. The other strong safeties that made it ahead of Rolle were Kansas City’s Eric Berry, Seattle’s Kam Chancellor and Pittsburgh’s Troy Polamalu.
“That’s why I play for myself, teammates, organization, family& fans,” Rolle wrote. “Nothing else matters. All this has done is added more fuel to my fire!”

NICKS NOT TALKIN’ MONEY
Hakeem Nicks hasn’t scored a touchdown this season, but he is ready to “take the next step” in talks with the Giants next week as his rookie contract comes to an end.
“We ain’t talking money right now because it’s bigger than that in my eyes,” Nicks said. “It’s not just about money. I’m not going to be a guy who says: ‘Let me go get this.’ Nah … I don’t want to get myself in a situation where there’s a lot going on. This organization is great stability-wise. Not too many changes go on around here.”
Nicks, 25, said that he believes the Giants know he wants to return. Fellow wideout Victor Cruz, who signed a five-year contract worth $ 43 million last offseason, offered his support for Nicks as well. Cruz said that his advice is for Nicks to “just be patient.”
“I don’t know if that gut feeling is true, but I do have a gut feeling,” Cruz said. “It’s more so just me being selfish. That’s what I want to see. I want to see him back here with us, I want to see him being his same old self, his same old calm, resolved self.”
Nicks insisted he was focused on finishing the season out with pride. He declined to rule out accepting a franchise tag for next season.
INJURY UPDATE
WR Rueben Randle (knee) did not practice for the second consecutive day. … Five Giants have already been ruled out Sunday. Cruz and DE Jason Pierre-Paul (shoulder) are among them. RB Andre Brown (concussion) and guard David Diehl (knee) were listed as probable.
