Amanda Bynes’ parents got the best gift of all this holiday – drama-free bonding time with their troubled daughter.
Rick and Lynn Bynes took the former child star on a stroll with their dogs near their Thousand Oaks, Calif., home, enjoying a spate of warm Christmas Day weather.

Sporting her new blonder look, the 27-year-old actress looked healthy in the waning days of a very tough year.
Bynes was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold in California in July after starting a fire in a stranger’s driveway.

It was the latest in a string of bizarre behavior that included an arrest in May in New York City for allegedly tossing a bong out of the window of her 36 story apartment and a series of increasingly erratic tweets.

Bynes — whose parents were named legal custodians while she continues outpatient care several times a week — has been busy rebuilding her life since her release earlier this month.

Earlier this month, the “Easy A” actress enrolled in classes at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Irvine, Calif.
“She’s living with her parents for the foreseeable future and plans on staying close to home during the holidays,” her family’s lawyer told the News earlier this month.
