Brandi Brandt, busting out in this August 1989 Playboy magazine cover, appeared briefly Friday night in a Sydney courtroom after being extradited from California on cocaine trafficking charges.
Brandi Brandt, 45, was once a top Playboy model , a TV actress, and the wife of heavy metal bassist Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue. Now she’s in a Sydney jail cell awaiting trial on drug trafficking charges.
The cover girl of Playboy’s March 1990 edition has been extradited from Los Angeles to Australia, where she faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment on cocaine smuggling charges.
According to Australian authorities, Brandt was part of a drug syndicate that trafficked cocaine between California and Sydney by hiding large quantities of the narcotic in passenger planes belonging to Quantas and United Airlines.

She and ex-boyfriend, motorcycle stuntman Rusty Setser, allegedly conspired with a Sydney -based airline catering company to have the hidden drugs removed by members of the food-handling staff.
In one trafficking event, Brandt allegedly flew into Sydney on a 2007 United Airlines flight. Customs inspectors with a sniffer dog found 12 blocks of cocaine hidden in a lavatory trash bin. Brandt left Sydney the next day.
Setser was extradited to Sydney last month. Both agreed to be extradited in lieu of standing trial in the U.S.
