‘I feel so fantastic I can’t believe I had a baby two days ago actually! Lol! Must be all that exercise I did,’ 35-year-old Lea-Ann Ellison wrote on Facebook.

The CrossFit mom who caused a stir online by lifting heavy weights during the last few weeks of her pregnancy has given birth to a baby boy.

And he’s healthy as can be.

Skyler Ellison was two and a half weeks overdue. But he came into the world during a natural home water birth on Nov. 7, weighing a healthy 7.3 pounds.

According to bodybuilding mom Lea-Ann Ellison, the little guy is “nursing like a champ and pooping like a machine.” And she only has 7 pounds left to get back to her pre-pregnancy weight.

“The haters can kiss my CrossFit a–,” the 35-year-old from Los Angeles wrote on Facebook.

The 35-year-old continued to exercise until three days before the birth of her son.

Ellison sparked backlash in September when she posted a photo of her intense fitness routine to Facebook. Many commenters feared that she was risking her baby’s health just to keep up her “hot mom” image.

“The ones that really bothered me was that I was selfish for continuing my workout program or a stupid woman or you’re going to miscarry your baby or injure your baby,” the mom told Inside Edition. “You don’t know me and you don’t know my capabilities.”

Ellison—who already has an 8-year-old boy and a 12-year-old daughter—insisted that CrossFit has been her “sanity.”

“Strongly believe that pregnancy is not an illness, but a time to relish in your body’s capabilities to kick a–,” the mom wrote in September.

Despite a public outcry, Ellison maintains that her exercise routine was perfectly healthy for both her and her baby.

Ellison says she kept working out until days before the birth of her third child. On Monday, Nov. 4, she did 40 pull-ups without bands.

Three days later, the mom delivered Skylar in a birthing pool in her own home. Midwives were present at the birth, but Ellison said that everything went so smoothly that she hardly needed the help.

She even invited her husband and two children to watch.

Her son Blair said that tub “looked like a shark attack.” But dad Shane Ellison thought the experience was wonderful.

“On a whole, we’ve been severed from the birthing process by Western medicine,” the father wrote in a blog post. “Cold sterile hallways and dictator-like doctors have made a business out of yanking babies out of wombs, while families are left in waiting rooms. Like having a monopoly on life, we’ve been removed from the greatest show on Earth.”
