They are best friends, and now their children will share a special bond. Two Texas pals unexpectedly gave birth just hours apart from each other in the same hospital on Friday.

Brook Hamilton delivered a baby girl while best buddy Lauren Thames, who only came to the hospital to visit Hamilton and wasn’t due for two more weeks, gave birth to a boy.

“If anyone would have told us we would have babies on the same day just hours apart, we would not have believed them,” Hamilton told the Vindicator. “We are so excited that our children will grow up together and share this special story with their families.”

Hamilton and Thames were overjoyed when they found out they were pregnant, but never dreamed they would give birth on the same day. Thames, who had three other kids, served as her best friend’s birthing coach, according to the Vindicator. But she started having her own contractions while she was in Hamilton’s room at the Baytown hospital.

Zaelynn and Jordan were born four hours apart in the Baytown hospital.

Thames’ boy Jordan actually arrived first, and four hours later Hamilton’s girl Zaelynn was born.

“Everybody kept saying, ‘Y’all are going to have y’all’s babies at the same time on the same day,'” Hamilton told ABC in Houston.
