An article naming the top five bathrooms for sex in Evansville, Ind., has caused quite the stir among the owners of the chosen businesses.

The list, which was posted on WGBF’s website on Tuesday, said the number one spot for bathroom sex was the restroom of Penny Lane Coffee Shop. The Jungle restaurant, Bokeh Lounge, Greek’s Pizzeria and Cork n’ Cleaver rounded out the top five.

‘I don’t want people to be afraid to walk into Penny Lane because they think people are doing something we don’t condone or tolerate on our premises at any time,’ owner Brian Bennett said.
“As a public service to all the weirdoes, perverts and sexually deranged citizens of this fair city, we have taken it upon ourselves to pull the guess work out of this local conundrum and assembled a list of the best bathrooms in Evansville to have sex in,” the article by freelancer Mike Adams reads.

While the radio station has said the list was all in good fun, Penny Lane co-owner Brian Bennett told 14 News that he doesn’t see the humor.
“It’s not funny,” Bennett said. “I don’t want people to be afraid to walk into Penny Lane because they think people are doing something we don’t condone or tolerate on our premises at any time.”

Scott Schuam, the owner of Greek’s Pizzeria, says he wants his restaurant to be seen as a family business. He is one of the steamed-up business owners who isn’t down with the idea of patrons getting steamy in the stalls.

Scott Schuam, the owner of Greek’s Pizzeria, told 14 News that it was “very upsetting” because he sees his restaurant as a family business.
“Little children and grandparents and all in between, that’s what I want for this place,” he said.
WGBF brand manager Mike Sanders told 14 News that the article is meant to be satirical.
“We always ride the edge with a lot of things,” he said. “We try to appeal to things that guys like; babes, rock, sports. You know the guy with the active lifestyle.”
The restaurant owners said no one has ever had sex in their bathrooms. Some are also talking with their lawyers to see if they can take legal action, 14 News reported.
