Ho Zhiliang was born with a rare heart condition and he hopes doctors in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, will operate on him to move the organ into his rib cage.
A Chinese man is hoping doctors will put his heart in the right place.
Ho Zhiliang, 24, was born with what is being called congenital cardiac exposure syndrome. His beating heart is visible right below the skin of his abdomen and has been his entire life.

So far, the barber has defied incredible odds. According to Xie He Hospital in Wuhan, Hubei Province, more than 90% of the people born with this rare condition die at birth or soon afterwards.
Zhiliang’s parents were informed that their son might not make it, but he surprised them by persevering through school and eventually finding a job as a barber.

He decided to undergo surgery after seeing news reports about Huang Rongming, a man with a similar condition.
Doctors at Wuhan Union Hospital successfully moved Rongming’s heart to his chest in April 2012.

Zhiliang reportedly quit his job and moved to Wuhan to seek out the same surgery.
Doctors in the Hubei Province’s capital city are currently working on a surgery plan for Zhiliang.
