Revelers enjoy the Brooklyn Night Bazaar last December at its N. 5th St. location.
The concept is Asian-inspired but the execution is all Brooklyn.
Modeled after similar markets found throughout the East, the Brooklyn Night Bazaar — an experimental offering the last three years — has settled down in permanent digs that allow for year-round shopping, drinking and eating every weekend night.
All of it comes with creator Aaron Broudo’s Brooklyn twist.

Indie bands, local food, beers and even ping pong tables and a mini-golf course are in the offing at the 24,000-square-foot warehouse at 165 Banker St. in the midst of hipster heaven: the border of Greenpoint and Williamsburg.
Beginning Nov. 1, the night market will run just north of its unrelated cousin, the successful Brooklyn Flea, a daytime weekend market.
“The space was great and there’s definitely a lot of people that come to the neighborhood at night during weekends,” said Broudo, 35. “It’s sort of a center for nightlife so we thought it would be a good fit.”

Broudo says his bazaar is a different take on the average vintage clothes and food affair. There will be 90 vendors of crafts, food and art, five bands or DJs a night and games.
“All of the food is from local restaurants or vendors,” Broudo said. “The majority (of sellers) are Brooklyn-based small businesses.”
Broudo first got his feet wet with prior bazaars held on N. 5th St. in Williamsburg — one was a three-night stint and last year, a 10-day market around the holidays. Those saw about 7,000 visitors each night, Broudo said.

The space is half the size of the previous location but will still get pretty rockin’, he said. Opening night music will kick off with rapper Spank Rock.
“We know there’s an audience for it,” Broudo said. “And the reception has been amazing.”
Community Board 1 recommended his request for a beer and wine permit so KelSo and other Brooklyn lagers will be on tap at the bazaar’s beer gardens.

Ping-pong will be played in the building’s giant walk-in freezer.
Local food offerings, like risotto balls from the Arancini Bros. and ice cream from Ample Hills Creamery, will be on the menu.
Broudo said he’s had support from the community, including 900 signatures from locals backing the concept.
“It’s a great cultural event that combines a lot of a great things: shopping, listening to music, playing games, sort of all in one place for free,” said Broudo. “I don’t think it has existed in New York City before and people have had a great reaction to (his events) in the past.”
Brooklyn Night Bazaar, 165 Banker St. between Norman and Meserole Aves., Greenpoint, from 6 p.m. to midnight every Friday and Saturday beginning Nov. 1.
